One person died while three others were injured in a solar-battery blast at Khrew area of this district on Wednesday.
An official said the blast took place inside residentialhouse of Ghulam Nabi Mir at Zantrag village in the evening.
Four members of the family including Mir’s son, twodaughters and nephew were injured in the blast.
They were rushed to SMHS hospital but one among themsuccumbed on way to the hospital. The deceased has been identified as ShabirAhmad (25).
Other injured persons were identified as Gulshan (18) andShafeeqa (21) and their 8-year old cousin, Faisal.
The blast created panic in the village. Soon after theincident police rushed to the spot and registered a case.
“It seems that the incident has happened due to a solarbattery blast, but we have started the investigation to ascertain the actualcause,” the police official said.
