11 arrested in Ganderbal for defying govt orders over COVID-19

Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have arrested 11 personsfor defying the prohibitory orders issued by the government to prevent thespread of the novel coronavirus disease, an official said on Tuesday.

Acting on specificinformation, Ganderbal Police have arrested 10 drivers and a shopkeeper foundviolating the Govt. orders issued u/s 144 CrPC. Police have also seized 10tippers from the arrested drivers, he said.

   

In this connection cases vide FIR No. 08/2020 & FIR No. 19/2020under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Kheer Bhawani, and PSLar respectively.

Ganderbal Police has once again requested the general public of DistrictGanderbal to follow the restrictions imposed by District Magistrate in order toprevent the spread of the COVID-19 and those who are violating the restrictionsimposed will be dealt strictly.
