Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bandipora, Owais Ahmed on Tuesday suspended 14 employees for remaining unauthorisedly absent from duties while show cause notices were served to five officers.
An official said on the directions of the DC, a team of officers led by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Reyaz Ahmad Beigh conducted a surprise inspection of various government offices at mini-secretariat Bandipora to check the attendance of employees.
He said 14 employees were found absent from duties and were put under suspension immediately. The official said show cause notices were served to five district officers to explain the reason for absence from their offices.
The DC instructed all other employees to remain punctual to their offices and warned that no laxity on their part will be tolerated.
