Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested 15 timber smugglers inSopore area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir, officials said today.
“15 wanted timber smugglers were arrested from Cherhaarforest in the upper reaches of Sopore,” a police official said.
He said that the detained smugglers are involved in a numberof forest smuggling cases in Kandi forest range of Sopore.
He said that a case under relevant sections of law has beenregistered and further investigation has been initiated.
