2-day conference on contemporary business starts at NIT Srinagar

A two-day conference on contemporary business trends started at NIT Srinagar.

The conference was inaugurated by Head of the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management (HSS&M), Prof Abdul Liman.

   

In his welcome address, he highlighted the importance of the conference and changes that are seen in the current business practices owing to the COVID19 pandemic.

Dean Academic Affairs Prof Najeebuddin identified certain core areas like investing in future trends which include digital economy and emphasis on personalised customer service and user reviews.

Prof Rakesh Sehgal highlighted important courses launched by NIT Srinagar like MBA, MSc, TIED and MSc Chemistry.

Prof Mishra of IIM Calcutta highlighted potential trends triggered by pandemic.

Prof Arvind Sahay of IIM Ahmedabad defined the concept of Block Chain and how it provides cheapest and efficient platform for carrying out various transactions.

Prof Pavan Mamidi, Director Centre for Social and Behavior Change, shared his views on the importance of Behavioral Research in Contemporary Times.

Prof Mamidi showed interest in contributing in the growth of NIT Srinagar in various capacities.
