2 labourers who fell into Tral stream, rescued

Two local labourers were rescued from a stream on the outskirts of Tral township in Pulwama district on Wednesday afternoon.

The labourers identified as GhulamRasoolGanaie (70) son inlaw of GhulamMohudinBhat and Ali Mohammad Bhat (65) son of Ghulam MohammadBhat, both residents of RathsunaTral fell into the gushing WatalAra stream nearRathsuna village of Tral.

   

As per a source, both were immediately rescued by the localresidents and were moved to the hospital.

He said: “Both had fallen into the murky stream andremained in the water for few minutes before they were rescued.”

The condition of both is said to be stable.

Following the incessant rainfall in the valley the waterlevel in the WatalAra here has considerably increased since Tuesday evening.

Many roads and streets in southern areas were waterloggedthroughout the day.
