Police on Friday said it arrested two militant associates of Ansar GazwatUl Hind and Hizb-Ul -Mujahdeen from Tral and Awantipora areas of Pulwama district.
In a statement police said the arrested persons were involved in providing shelter, support, logistics and passing sensitive information to the militants of the two outfits.
The police identified the arrested persons as Sayar Ahmad Shah from Tral and Tanseem @ Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh from Awantipora. “Incriminating material has been recovered from the arrested persons and the cases (FIR number 46/2020 and FIR No 68/2020) have been registered in police station Tral and police station Awantipora respectively,” said the statement.
