Two persons were detained by the security forces in south Kashmir’s Tral township of Awantipora police district.
A police official said that security forces on Tuesdayraided a cluster of houses in different areas of the town and detained twopersons.
The detainees were identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Mir (53) s/oGhulam Ahmad Mir, a driver by profession, and Farooq Ahmad Mir (53) s/o GhulamMohammad Mir, both residents of Tral-I-Payeen. Mir is a government employee.
Both were lodged in police station Tral.
The detained persons, according to the official, were beingquizzed for their alleged role in the militancy.
