Two soldiers were injured in firing by Pakistani forces in Madiyan, Kamalkote, area of Uri on Wednesday morning.
The injured soldiers were shifted to a local hospital where they were stated to be stable.
According to police, Pakistani troops resorted to “unprovoked firing” in Uri sector, which was retaliated by the Indian army.
In the evening, the two sides again resorted to firing and exchanged mortars.
