Police on Thursday filed charge-sheet in a Kupwara court against five persons involved in a militancy related incident in which a civilian was killed in Langate area of Kupwara district last year.
As per the details of the case, militants had fired upon acivilian, identified as Abdul Majeed Shah of Babagund village. He succumbed tothe injuries later.
The police, after completing the investigation, filed thecharge sheet-against five persons, including three militants and two OverGround Workers of a militant outfit.
The charge-sheet was filed in Handwara court under section.The three militants named in the charge-sheet are Sajad Ahmad Mir alias Haiderof Brath Sopore, Naseer Ahmad Mir alias Talha of Brath Kalan Sopore and AsifAhmad war alias Jaffar of Warpora Sopore.
The OGWs have been identified as Auqib Javed Bhat ofBabagund, Langate and Feroz Ahmad Dar of Langate.
