Twenty-four more persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease on Thursday in Kashmir, taking the total number of cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 184, officials said.
“24 more positive in Kashmir. Total 184. 32 in Jammu, 152 inKashmir. All are contacts. A result of aggressive testing,” said the governmentspokesman, Rohit Kansal, on Twitter.

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed the highest one-day jump in COVID-19 patients on Wednesday as 33 locals tested positive for the novel disease, which has been declared as a pandemic by the WHO.
The spike, according to the doctors, is related to stepped up testing by the health authorities.
