While taking strong action against the violators of prohibitory orders imposed under section 144 CrPC, Handwara police in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday arrested 27 persons and seized six vehicles.
In Qalamabad area of Handwara, police found 11 personsviolating the restrictions imposed by the authorities in the wake of covid-19.A case (No 24 of 2020) was registered against the erring persons at QalamabadHandwara.
Similarly, in Vilgam and and Kralgund areas of the Handwara,16 persons were arrested besides six vehicles were seized. A police officialsaid a case under relevant section has been lodged at Vilgam and Kralgundpolice stations against the violators.
Meanwhile, police have urged people to follow lockdownstrictly so that the spread of COVID19 was stopped.
