In view of forthcoming Eid ul Adha and festive activities, District Magistrate Kupwara, Anshul Garg Sunday issued an order wherein certain relaxations with some conditions have been granted for opening up of shops across the district from July 28 to July 30.
As per the order, shops shall remain open from 7am to 4pm and the COVID test has been made mandatory for all shopkeepers and their staff for opening the shops.
There shall be complete restrictions on opening of shops from July 31 onwards except those selling dairy products and vegetables, however there shall be no restrictions on the movement of commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and construction material for developmental works during this period, reads the order.
The concerned ADCs, SDMs and Tehsildars have been ordered to issue roasters for opening up to fifty percent shops in markets of their respective jurisdictions to avoid large gatherings.
