3 drug peddlers held in Shopian: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said that it arrested  three drug peddlers along with poppy straw and charas in Zainapora belt of Shopian district in south Kashmir.

 In a statement a police spokesman said that the drive against the drug menace has been launched   under the leadership of SSP Shopian Sandeep Chaudhary. He said the accused  have been booked under three cases FIR No 33/2019 u/s 8/15, NDPS Act, FIR No 34 /2019 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act, and FIR No 35 /2019 u/s 8/21, 8/22 NDPS Act  at Police Station Zainapora.

The spokesman said that 11.5kg Poppy Straw, 288 capsules of Spasmo-Proxyvon plus, 300 tablets of Alprasafe and 700gm of charas were recovered from the accused.
