37 posts of Rehbar-e-Khael remain vacant after selection of 237

Following resentment shown by candidates dropped in the recently issued Rehbar-e-Khael select list for Baramulla district, the chairman selection committee has recommended to the department to fill up the vacant vacancies.

The chairman selection committee Rehbar-e-Khael, Baramulla, who is also deputy commissioner Baramulla, has shot a letter dated 12.1.2019 to the director general youth services and sports pitching for filling up these vacant posts.

“There were 274 positions (of Rehbar-e-Khael) allotted to district Baramulla, out of which 237 have been filled and the remaining 37 positions are lying vacant due to non availability of the eligible candidates in some educational zones.

“The vacant positions can be filled either by considering the inter-zone merit of waiting list or by way of re-advertisement at district level,” the letter reads.

The select list for the district was recently issued by the youth services and sports Baramulla. However, the list had evoked severe criticism from the candidates who had been dropped from the list. The dropped candidates had cast aspersions on the interview process and staged protests.

The officials of the youth services and sports Baramulla claimed that if all the remaining 37 positions are filled, “it will pave way for adjustment to all the candidates in the waiting list.”

“We are sure, if approval for the remaining 37 vacancies is granted, then almost all the candidates in the waiting list will get adjusted,” said Khurshid Ahmad, district officer youth services and sports Baramulla.
