4 vehicles seized, several persons fined for violating COVID19 guidelines in Baramulla

Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Baramulla, Muhammad Rafiq on Tuesday seized four vehicles and imposed fine on several persons who were found violating the advisories issued to prevent spread of COVID19 in the district.

Rafiq, along with several officials appeared on the Baramulla-Srinagar highway this morning to inspect whether the commuters where adhering to COVID19 guidelines.

   

During the inspection, the official found several passengers and drivers were not following guidelines and some of them were found without masks.

“Four vehicles were immediately seized while several persons were fined for not wearing masks,” said Rafiq.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, GN Itoo had on Sunday warned that violators of COVID19 guidelines will be strictly punished.

The administration has also constituted a team of woman officials to check use of masks by the woman commuters.

The administration has already issued an advisory that no person or organisation will be allowed to carry activities at religious places within territorial jurisdiction of Baramulla without proper permission from competent authority.

Besides only those businessmen will be who are below 60 years of age are being allowed to continue their businesses.
