Police on Wednesday detained 44 persons and seized 12 vehicles for allegedly violating lockdown orders by the government in the district.
The police also registered six FIRs in this regard, a police official said.
He said the police and CAPF personnel enforced restrictions in the district as per the orders of the government. SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik said people should cooperate and not move out of their homes unnecessarily.
Earlier, the J&K administration had announced lockdown across Jammu and Kashmir till 31st March as part of its efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus.
