A five-day course on ‘safety of women’ for investigators of J&K Police concluded at SK Police Academy Udhampur today.
The course was sponsored by Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) MHA, Government of India, New Delhi, a police handout said.
“The objective of the course was to build the capacity of the investigators in the investigation of crime against women in professional and scientific way by the use of Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit,” the statement said.
As many as 25 officers drawn from different wings of J&K Police attended the course.
On the valedictory function, Dr. S.D Singh Jamwal, IPS, IGP Director SK Police Academy Udhampur highlighted the importance of the course and the necessity of capacity building for the investigators. During the course eminent professionals from the field of Law, Forensics, Investigations and Medicines were invited.
