A 50-year-old woman died in a road accident in the main market Langate in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
A police official said, Saleema Begum was critically injured after a motorcycle she was a pillion rider on, was hit by a tipper at the main market Langate.
“The tipper was reversing when it hit the bike,” police official said.
She was rushed to sub-district hospital Langate where the doctors declared her brought dead, said the official.
The deceased was a resident of Safalpora Qaziabad, he said.
Police have registered a case and taken up the investigation, he said.
