6 arrested for violating restriction orders in Bandipora: Police

Police on Sunday said it booked six persons in Chandergeer village of this district for violating the probationary orders imposed in the wake of Coronavirus outbreak.

The officials said two FIRs were registered in policestation Hajin against the six persons who violated the restriction orders,thereby risking their own lives and lives of others.

   

The official said the accused were arrested by the policeduring patrolling in the area.

Earlier, on Friday, six persons were arrested by police herewho had also violated the restriction orders.

On Thursday an open FIR was registered at police stationPethkoot against those who had assembled near ATM in contravention of theSection 144.

Appealing people to stay indoors for their own safety,Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora said the chain of COVID19 pandemic can bebroken only by staying indoors.

He said more cases have been reported in the district andwarned of the strict action against people who risk lives of others byviolating restriction orders.

He appealed people to cooperate with the administration andensure strict adherence to the order. He said violation of the order wouldconstitute criminal offence and attract strict action under section 188 of IPC.
