6 drug peddlers arrested in Baramulla

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested six known drug peddlers from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from their possession.

Police said two among the six drug peddlers were apprehendedwhile they were on way to sell contraband substance to the school children.

   

The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as MohsinYousuf Mir alias Munna son of Mohammad Yousuf Mir, a resident of Delina, DanishQazi son of Abdul Hamid Qazi, a resident of Boniyar, at present Delina,Mohammad Abbas Mir alias Wasil son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir, a resident of Delinaand Sadam Hussain Khan son of Mohammad Hussain Khan, a resident of Kanispora.

The arrests were made after police party from Delina policepost laid Naka in the Delina area of Baramulla and apprehended four drugpeddlers along with the contraband substance.

“In another incident, a police party from police stationBaramulla apprehended known drug peddlers namely Mohammad Rafiq Sofi son of MohammadSubhan Sofi, a resident of Jalal Sahab Baramulla and Naveed Manzoor Najar @ BobNakvor son of Manzoor Ahmad Najar a resident of Iqbal Colony Baramulla andrecovered huge quantity of brown sugar like substance from their possession whowere on way to sell it to the school children,” a police spokesman said.

Police said that in this regard case FIR No. 113/2019 u/s8/21-29 NDPS Act was registered in police station Baramulla and investigationhas been taken up.”Huge quantity of brown sugar like substancearound 209 grams and 297 items of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsules were recoveredfrom their possession,” police said.
