At least six persons were injured in two separate road accidents that took place in Poonch district. Police said one accident took place at Azamabad village of Poonch Mandi on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred when a Tata magic bearing registration number JK12A 6269 was on way from Mandi to Azamabad and met with accident on link road Azamabad as it plunged into roadside fields.
Five passengers who were injured including Zaid Mughal son of Mohammad Bashir resident of Attoli, Abdul Majid son of Abdul Kareem resident of Attoli, Shamim Akther wife of Munir Hussain resident of Chaktroo, Zawaida Bi wife of Manzoor Hussain resident of Chaktroo and Maqsood Ahmed son of Sayed Muhammad resident of Attoli.
Police said that injured have been shifted to a local hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, driver Vijay Kumar son of Janak Raj resident of Jammu got injured after a tipper JK02BV 8298 on way from Jammu to Poonch plunged in roadside gorge at Madana in Surankote. Injured has been hospitalized and is said to be serious in condition.
