Awami Action Committee (AAC) Sunday called a condolence meeting over the demise of grandmother of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq and expressed condolence and solidarity with Mirwaiz family.
In a statement the Acc said the deceased was a gentle and pious woman of the Mirwaiz Family. She was the wife of late Moulvi Ghulam Rasool Shah and the aunt and mother-in-law of Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq. She was mother of Moulvi Manzoor Ahmad and Moulvi Shafaat Ahmad.
The statement said the ACC, in the meeting, paid tributes to the deceased while remembering the services rendered by the Mirwaiz family in upliftment of the people of Kashmir. The AAC said its members stand with Mirwaiz in this hour of grief.
