Action Plan for creation of 7643 posts for RReTs approved

With a view to addressing transition of non-graduate Regularized Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers (RReTs) under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) as regular teachers in the School Education Department, the State Administrative Council (SAC) headed by Governor, Satya Pal Malik has approved the Action Plan proposed by the School Education Department.

The plan has been fomulated on the basis of recommendationsof the designated Committee, an official spokesperson said.

   

For outright implementation of the Action Plan proposed bythe School Education Department on the basis of the report of the aboveCommittee, SAC has approved creation of 7643 posts of Teacher Grade-III in thepay scale of Rs 25500-81100 (L-4) by corresponding reduction of an equivalentnumber of supernumerary posts of Teachers Grade-II.

Grade-III has been created exclusively for the purpose oftransition/ appointment of non-graduate RReTs. The cadre of Teacher Grade-IIIwill get subsumed/merged or restored to Teacher Grade-II, once the TeacherGrade-III are appointed as Teacher Grade-II or vacate the post onsuperannuation/resignation/demise whichever is earlier or in the event ofabolition of any of these posts, if the need arises.

The posts of Teacher Grade-III will be filled-up 100% byselection out of RReTs who are not graduates but otherwise eligible forappointment in government service as per the laid down procedure. This willinclude verification of their character and antecedents, educationalqualification and other certificates/documents including an undertaking asrequired for appointment to government service.
