Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai Monday laid foundation of multi-storey complex at the shrine of Sufi Saint, Hazrat Mir Syed Yaqoob Sahib (RA) at Sonawar here.
Ganai, who is also Chairman Wakf Board, said that he hasinstructed the executing agency to complete construction of the complex in sixmonth’s time.
Advisor said that there was a dire need for mobilisation of resourcesin the Board. He said that Zakat fund account and crowd funding would also beinitiated by the Board soon to be spent on philanthropic and developmentalactivities.
It was given out that the complex would be a three-storeybuilding having a floor area of 3500 sft. It would be completed at a cost of Rs65 lakh. The complex would house a diagnostic centre and a conference hallbesides separate ablution centres for men and women in the ground floor.
Vice-Chairman Wakf Board GR Sufi, Secretary Board GM Dar,executive officer Bashir Ahmad Dar and other local administrators of the shrinewere present on the occasion.
