Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai today held a meeting at Baramulla to review the progress on various projects under the Aspirational Districts Program.
Accompanied by Principal Secretary Planning, Development andMonitoring Department, Rohit Kansal, the Advisor took a detailed appraisal ofworks and stressed upon the officers concerned to obtain saturated results indifferent sectors identified under the program.
He underlined the need for utilizing the resources throughconvergence and collaboration besides directing for working with added synergyand enthusiasm for achieving the desired targets.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner,Baramulla, G N Itoo and other top officers from different departments andpolice.
Itoo briefed the chair about status of various projects andinformed that work on several projects has been completed whereas severalprojects are at different stages of completion.
Meanwhile, several deputations called on the Advisor andappraised him about various issues and demands with regard to the communitywelfare. The deputations which met the Advisor included Greater BaramullaForum, Gurudwara Prabandak Committee, Traders Federation Baramulla and AuqafCommittee Baramulla.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputations andassured to address all the genuine demands on priority.
Earlier, the Advisor visited Shailputri Temple, which waspartially damaged in 2017 due to land erosion. He interacted with templemanagement and assured them that all their demands and issues shall be lookedinto for appropriate action.
