After first positive case of coronavirus reported inGanderbal district on sunday, the district administration Ganderbal hasdeclared Guzhama village of tehsil Wakura in Ganderbal district as Red zone andits surrounding areas Batpora and Khanpora as buffer zones.
” Whereas it is possible that the said positive case have come in contact with some other people in the area thus becoming susceptible of COVID-19.
whereas it is felt expedient to break further transmission of COVID-19 and has become imperative to take stringent measures by declaration of Guzhama village as Red zone and its surrounding areas as buffer zones” reads an order issued by the district magistrate Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal.
There shall be no inward or outward movement of any person in the village Guzhama and people should stay indoors as there will be complete lockdown in the village.
The villagers of surrounding buffer zones shall also restrict their movements and shouldn’t allow any visitor to enter the area, the order reads.
