AIP has potential to replace traditional political parties: Er Rasheed

Reiterating that AIP has the potential to replace traditional political parties in J&K, the party president Er Rasheed Saturday appealed masses to support AIP In the entire state in the upcoming elections.

While welcoming prominent trade union leader and politicalactivist Ishtiyaq Qadri, social and political activist Dr Sikandar Jan,educationist Aijaz Khan, educationist Mohammad Akbar Rather, RTI activist SyedQarar Hashmi, social activist Abdul Hameed Malik and others in AIP Er Rasheedsaid that both NC and PDP have miserably failed at all fronts and are actinglike extension wings of Congress and BJP.

   

“The low percentage of votes in parliamentary electionsshould make New Delhi understand that separatist leadership has its routes deep in masses and their voicecannot be muzzled by force. Be it banning Jamat-i-Islami or JKLF nothing willchange on the ground unless New Delhi realizes significance of resolvingKashmir issue,” he said. 

“It is pathetic that political prisoners including YaseenMalik, Asiya Andrabi, Zahoor Watali, Ayaz Akbar, Shabir Shah, Nayeem Khan, andAltaf Shah are being treated like criminals,” he added.Er Rasheed announced that his  party would stage a protest march outsideCivil Secretariat on Monday against the alleged failure of the Government toprovide basic amenities to the people, arresting of youth in every nook andcorner of Kashmir, state action against separatist’ leadership and for seekingrevocation of ban against Jamat-e-Islami and JKLF.
