Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Thursday said that dossier against incarcerated chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik is known to everybody and people very well understand the mindset behind such “baseless accusations.”
In a statement Geelani said that “decades old cases havebeen discussed threadbare and the courts have acquitted the accused long backbut even after acquittal the rulers try to dig out these dead horses to quenchthe thirst of the collective conscience.”
Geelani said, “The allegations like disturbing peace,threatening citizens’ lives or attacking schools against pro-freedom leadershipare not even worth any response as such childish accusations just need to belaughed at.”
Hurriyat (G) chairman said, “Before signing such dossiersthe authorities should apply their mind.”
“Instead of these childish actions, rulers need to get tothe ground realities and show some bravery to defuse the volcano in waitinglest it may be too late to mend the situation,” he added.
