Former finance minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Thursday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of noted businessman and philanthropist Ghulam Hassan Mir of Athwajan, Panthachowk.
In his condolence message issued here, Bukhari who isoutside the state described Mir’s demise as a huge loss for the bereavedfamily, its friends and associates.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, the formerfinance minister prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and courageto it to face this difficult time of grief, a statement said.
“I personally knew Late Mir sahib very closely. He had notonly carved a niche in business establishment but was equally known for hishumility among his friends and associates,” Bukhari observed.
He remarked that the void left in the business fraternity bythe demise of Mir Saheb is hard to be filled. “I extend my heartfeltcondolences to the grief stricken family to bear this inconsolable loss.”
