Altaf Bukhari shocked over labourer’s death at Rambagh flyover

Former finance minister Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari today expressed shock  over the death of a labourer Muhammad Amin Bhat in an  accident at Rambagh-Solina flyover on Sunday evening.

“I demand severe punishment warranted under law for thedriver who hit the car while plying on wrong side of the flyover. This tragicaccident has resulted due to clear violation of traffic rules. Authorities mustbook the culprit and take the case to its logical conclusion in a time boundmanner,” Bukhari said.

   

In his condolence message, Bukhari conveyed his sympathiesto the family of the deceased who was a resident of Azad Basti, Natipora.

He also prayed speedy recovery of the person who sustainedgrievous injuries in the accident, urging the district administration toprovide best medical treatment to him. “The increasing road accidents in Jammu and Kashmir have assumedalarming proportions. It has been found that the drivers are not following setstandard rules and safety instructions while plying on the Rambagh-Solinaflyover,” he said.
