Ansari, Manhas call on Governor

Member of Legislative Assembly from Pattan Imran Raza Ansari called on Governor N N Vohra at Raj Bhavan here on Saturday, an official spokesman said.

He said that Ansari informed Governor about the problems relating to the implementation of certain major development projects in his constituency and offered several suggestions about the measures necessary to streamline the higher education sector, including higher attention to skill development programmes and the promotion of sports, for the holistic development of youth. 

   

The Governor urged Ansari to continue his efforts for promoting a peaceful environment in his area and work zealously for advancing the interests of J&K. 

MLC ZAFFAR MANHAS

Member of Legislative Council  Zaffar Manhas and vice-chairman J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) also called on Governor, the spokesman said.

 He said that Manhas briefed the Governor about the ongoing programmes and the upcoming events which are being organized by the Academy and the efforts underway to promote traditional arts and artists.

Appreciating Manhas’s continuing endeavours towards the promotion of art, culture and literature, the Governor recalled the high importance of J&K’s vast tangible and intangible cultural heritage, which has been a valuable integrating factor, and advised Manhas to bear with his sustained efforts to engender harmonious environment in the state.
