Senior superintendent of police Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain on the occasion said that to save the new generation from the menace of drugs was the need of the hour.

The SSP said it was time to launch a movement against the drugs. He said the people had to be aware that the drugs in the shape of heroin and brown sugar “are often smuggled from across the border”.

He said the police was putting in a lot of efforts to stop the supply of these drugs. “People need to be educated about the harmful effects of the drug menace,” Hussain said at the seminar.
