According to a statement, these remarks were made by Apni Party general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir who alongwith the district president Anantnag Abdul Rahim Rather co-chaired a meeting of party office bearers and prominent party workers of the district at Dak Bunglow Khanabal.

The statement said both the leaders called on Centre to take an urgent call on conduct of elections for J&K as soon as possible.  The statement said due to the restrictions related to the COVID-19, the party had earlier decided to keep the physical meetings on hold and this was the party’s first meeting of its kind, after the COVID restrictions were eased out in the district.
