Apni Party has expressed hope for an early resumption of electoral process that can address aspirations of the people and help usher in the new era of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. According to a statement, these remarks were made by Apni Party general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir who alongwith the district president Anantnag Abdul Rahim Rather co-chaired a meeting of party office bearers and prominent party workers of the district at Dak Bunglow Khanabal.

The statement said both the leaders called on Centre to take an urgent call on conduct of elections for J&K as soon as possible.  The statement said due to the restrictions related to the COVID-19, the party had earlier decided to keep the physical meetings on hold and this was the party’s first meeting of its kind, after the COVID restrictions were eased out in the district.

Gen Secretary of the Party and former legislator Rafi Ahmad Mir threw light on the political and the developmental agenda of the Party and said that Apni Party do not believe in hollow slogans and deceiving the people for any political mileage. “Apni Party’s politics is based on realism and it will promise only achievable goals,” he added. Rather said that his party is bestowed with a highly capable and efficient leadership who has the capacity and capability to make the dreams of the people of Jammu and Kashmir come true. Rather informed the members that the meetings at the constituency and block level will be started in the near future for which a schedule will be chalked out and communicated to every member very soon.
