Army on Tuesday allegedly manhandled a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) and damaged his official vehicle after an argument with an Army officer in Ujroo area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports said SDM Duroo, Ghulam Rasool Wani had an argumentwith an army officer after he was stopped by the force while he was on his wayto Qazigund.
They said that Wani was thrashed by the army soldiers following which the deputy commissioner Anantnag rushed to the spot.
When contacted, defence spokesman Rajesh Kalia said thedetails were being ascertained by the army.
