Army distribute stationery items among school children

Pir Panjal Brigade organised a students’ felicitation programme at various schools where it distributed stationery items among the students.

The programme was held at army goodwill school Boniyar,Gagar hill primary school, government boys school Balkot, and government girlsschool Nambla, an army handout said.

   

The event was aimed to enhance the interest of local schoolgoing children by providing them free basic educational amenities, it said.

The event was a goodwill gesture by an NGO named J&Kstudy centre, Chandigarh in which Jai Kumar represented the NGO.

Army liaised with the NGO for benefitting local school goingchildren of border areas along the Line of Control in the area.

A total of 170 children and 8 teachers of villages Chotali,Somwali, Gagar Hill and Jabri, 200 students of AGS Boniyar and 300 students atBalkot and Nambla attended the events.

The event was attended by army officers from the Pir Panjaland neighbouring army camps.

The event was a huge success and received wide appreciationfrom the local populace.
