Army on Tuesday said that it provided financial and material support to one Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, whose house was gutted in a fire incident near Hajin Army camp in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
In statement here anArmy spokesman said, “The house of thevictim was completely gutted and severely damaged due to a gas cylinderexplosion. Nazir is a daily wage earner and lives with his wife and twodaughters (age 8 yrs and 6 yrs). On the day of the incident the CompanyCommander visited Nazir’s house and sympathised with the family. He was assuredof all possible help from the Army camp. A few days later keeping thecommitment given by the Company Commander, Nazir was provided with financialand material support to buy essential household items and assistance inregaining from the losses suffered by him.”
