Battalion Medical Team of Army on Saturday organised a medical camp and a lecture on hygiene and sanitation at Baihk-Harvet Army Camp in Langate.
“The village elders and youth from the nearby villagesattended and benefited from this initiative. The conduct of the lecture alsoenhanced their awareness regarding health, hygiene and sanitation, thuscontributing to a happy and healthy local environment,” a statement issued bythe Army said.
The Company Commander also interacted with the local populaceand urged them to stay healthy and ensure all important aspects on hygiene andsanitation are implemented as part of their daily routine, it read. Freemedical aid and medicines were distributed to the poor and needy.
