An army porter diedafter a snow-slide hit him in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district onFriday afternoon, reports said.
Shakil Ahmad son ofFeroz Ahmad Din was injured critically after a snow slide hit him at PinkdiChowk along Line of Control (LoC), reported news agency GNS.
Shakil, a residentof Ajgar Nawa Uri was immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital where he wasdeclared dead on arrival.
Station House officer(SHO) Uri Tabrez Khan confirmed the incident. “The slain porter wasworking with army’s 4 Madras,” he said, adding that the deceased wasclearing snow near the army camp when the slide hit him.
