Army school students return from capacity building tour

Army on Friday said that it organized a 15-day educational cum motivational tour for the students of Army Goodwill School, Boniyar from October 25 to Nov 9 to Srinagar, Jammu, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. 

In a statement here an Army spokesman said during the tour the students witnessed the cultural diversity, architectural excellence and technological advancements in the country.

   

In Srinagar, a visit to Chashme Shahi and Dal Lake was arranged followed by move to Banihal. At Jammu, the students visited Bahu Fort, Baag-e-Bahu and Jammu Aquarium which was followed by visit to Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Nehru Planetarium, Rail Museum, National Zoological Park, Ambience Mall, Rashtrapati Bhawan and a ride in the Metro Train at Delhi. 

At Agra, a visit to Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Agra Market was arranged for the students and at Jaipur, they were taken to Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and World Trade Park.

The students returned to Boniyar on successful completion of the tour which will provide a paradigm shift in their mindset by allowing them a better understanding of our country, its culture and the benefits of development, the spokesman added.
