Ayatollah Khomeini's 27 death anniversary observed

Jammu Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian led by Aga Syed Hassan Al-Safvi Al-Mosvi held a daylong seminar at Kashmir University. Aga Syed Hassan presided over the seminar which was started with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran.

Founder of Islamic revolution of Ayatollah Khomeini’s 27th death anniversary was observed across Kashmir on Wednesday. Several functions were held to mark the occasion. 

Jammu Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian led by Aga Syed Hassan Al-Safvi Al-Mosvi held a daylong seminar at Kashmir University. Aga Syed Hassan presided over the seminar which was started with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran.

Aga declared Imam Khomeini as the charismatic leader of the century and paid rich tributes to his memory. He said Kashmir can find solution to its problems by studying the Iranian revolution.

Renowned scholars and thinkers also expressed their views and offered tributes to Imam Khomeini. They include Justice (Rtd) Bashir Ahmed Kirmani, Moulana Khurshid Ahmed Qanongo, Syed Yousuf Mosvi, Dr Syed Fazalullah Rizvi, Syed Muhammad Hussain, Ghulam Hasan Baba and others.

A daylong Annual Educational Conference was held at Madina Public School, Arampora Pattan to commemorate the anniversary of the great leader. The conference was organised by Al Abbas (AS) Relief Trust, Kashmir. Representative of Ayatullah Khameini Aqai Mahdi Mahdavipour was the chief guest on the occasion.

Moulana Abass Ansari threw light on the life of Imam Khomeini and also paid rich tributes to his memory.

He said the great leader abolished monarchy and established Islamic rule in Iran. Aqai Mahdi Mahdavipour, Moulana Masroor Abass Ansari, Aga Syed Ajaz Rizvi and others also spoke.

Imam Khomeini Trust Kargil also held a function at Hussaini Park Kargil. People from all walks of life participated in the function.
