Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha and General Secretary AICC Ghulam Nabi Azad Thursday sought a magisterial inquiry into the killing a middle-aged man allegedly by cow vigilantes in Bhadarwah area late Wednesday night.
“I have asked the Deputy Commissioner to initiate a magisterial inquiry into the incident,” Azad said in a statement.
He said, “Those responsible for this gruesome murder must be brought to book immediately and punished as per the law of the land.”
Azad also appealed to all to maintain peace, mutual trust and tranquility.“Some miscreants will always try to spoil the peaceful atmosphere and communal harmony of the town in particular and the district in general. It is the responsibility of each one of us to ensure peace and maintain communal harmony at every cost.” Azad said.
