Bandipora alleged rape triggers outrage|KEA, KCCI, CCIK condemn,demand fast track probe

Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and CCIK have expressed shock over the alleged rape of three year old girl at Sumbal in north Kashmir.  

The KEA chairman Muhammad Yasin Khan in a statement saidthat the government should redouble the efforts in taking the case to thelogical conclusion at an earliest.

   

Khan, who also heads the Kashmir Traders and ManufacturersFederation, said that such shameful incidents would keep taking place unlesscapital punishment is made mandatory for such criminals. Stating thatmiscreants were reportedly trying to give the incident a sectarian color, heappealed the people to be united for the cause of humanity. The Kashmir Chamberof Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in a statement expressed shock at rape of athree year old girl. “The  incident inthe holy month is an indicator that our society is suffering from a moralbreakdown resulting from cultural changes and the influence of conflict,” saidSheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President of the KCC&I.

Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad also warned elements who were trying togive a sectarian color to the incident to refrain from mischievousconspiracies.

The CCIK president Ghulam Mohiuddin Khan also condemned theincident and demanded punishment to the accused. “Trial in the case shouldbe started on fast track basis,” Khan said.

Meanwhile, Shahre khaas coordination committee and Batmalootraders’ federation in combined statement sharply reacted to the gruesome actagainst 3 year old girl. It urged administration to take strict action againstthe culprit.
