In order to acquaint police officials with Urdu language, Bandipora police organised one week Urdu refresher course at DPL Bandipora in north Kashmir, a police spokesman said.
He said the mainfocus of the training module was to improve the working knowledge of Urdulanguage, so that officials could enhance their quality of investigation.
Detailed lectures were delivered by experts and instructionswere provided for the conduct of effective & flawless investigation,besides instructions / guidelines were provided for improving the Urdulanguage, he said, adding that officials were educated to conduct theinvestigation of cases with dedication and professionalism.
Meanwhile, Bandipora police raided a gambling site atShadipora and arrested seven persons for gambling offences, the spokesman said,adding that officers from the local police also seized playing cards and stakemoney of Rs 4940 from the gamblers.
