Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) on Monday decided to abstain from court work as a mark of solidarity with the three-year-old rape victim.
“HCBA has decided to abstain from court work today in protest against the kidnapping and rape of three-year-old girl in Malikpora, Sumbal,” read a statement issued by the JKHCBA.
There has been an outrage over horrific rape of a three-year-old girl in Trigam, Sumbal.
Police have already arrested the accused, who is a resident of Malikpora Trigam Sumbal.
Massive protests have erupted in Kashmir with the people demanding speedy trial of the case.
The police have also detained the school who allegedly issued a certificate to the accused declaring him a minor.
