Bar Association condemns use of force in Kulgam

J&K High Court Bar Association, Srinagar, has strongly condemned the use of bullets, pellets and tear gas shelling on civilian population at Tazipora Kulgam due to which 60 persons have been injured.

“It is worst kind of human rights violation, of which duenotice should be taken by the world community and besides asking India to stopthe innocent killing and injuring of Kashmiri people by use of pellets, it bealso asked to settle the Kashmir problem in accordance with the wishes andaspirations of the people so that peace and tranquility is established in thesubcontinent and the people are allowed to live a life with honour anddignity,” Bar said in a statement.

   

“The Bar Association also appeals the international HumanRights Organizations including UN Human Rights Council to get up from the deepslumber, they are in, for the last seventy years and save the people ofKashmir.  The Bar Association alsocondemns the attack made on the life of Saqib Amin Parray, Advocate, onThursday evening, viz. 23rd of May, 2019, by the BJP men, who had blocked theroad at Jawahar Nagar and on his asking to give him way, he was attacked andbrutally assaulted by the BJP people, causing severe kind of injuries on hisbody.”

“The Bar Association demands that the aforesaid gruesomeincident, in respect of which police has also registered an FIR, should beinvestigated by the police promptly and those who are guilty should be put upfor trial and punished according to law.”
