Block development officer (BDO), Lar has been put under suspension on Friday for his ‘lackadaisical approach towards election related duties’, according an order issued by the deputy commissioner Ganderbal.
“In view of lackadaisical approach towards election related duties, BDO Lar is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect” reads the order issued by the DC Ganderbal who also acts as district panchayat election officer.
“He shall further remain attached to the office of additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal. ADC Ganderbal is hereby appointed as enquiry officer to conduct a detailed enquiry in the delinquent behaviour of the officer while discharging his official duty.”
Lar block in Ganderbal district is going for polls on Saturday in 6th phase of panchayat elections.
