The Wildlife Department on Wednesday captured a bear here.
Official from the department said a bear was captured at Lar village of the district.
“A cage was set up after locals reported sighting of two wild bear cubs at Repora area of Lar today morning,” he said.
“It(bear) would be released in higher reaches of the district,” he added.
During past some time, wild animals have been spotted in human habitations in Kashmir. According to experts this is a major concern for the human populations, besides indicative of a worrisome trend that needs to be looked into.
