Bandipora police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting the accused.
Giving details it said, the police station Pethkote receiveda written complaint from one Irfan Ahmad Najar son of Abdul Ahad Najar ofBankoot Bandipora stating that some unknown thieves had stolen his Apachee bikebearing registration no. JK15-0238 when it was parked near his house.
Accordingly, a case FIR 23/19 under relevant sections of lawwas registered and investigation initiated.
During the course of investigation, the stolen bike wasrecovered and the accused was arrested.
The accused has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Najar son ofMohd Yousuf Najar of Sumlar Bandipora, police said.
Further investigation is in progress.
