BJP will form next government in J&K: Ravinder Raina

Claiming to form the next Government in Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Janta Party on Friday said that they will get a thumping majority in the Assembly elections.

This was stated by BJP state unit president Ravinder Rainawhile reacting to former J&K chief minister and NC Vice President OmarAbdullah who on Friday told a rally in Tral that boycotting polls comes at acost.

   

“If there’s a boycott, then like what happened inparliamentary polls will happen in assembly polls too, there’ll be a BJP MLAfrom Tral from where Burhan Wani and Zakir Musa belonged. They (BJP) have theireyes on some constituencies here,” Omar had told the rally.

“BJP will surely form the next Government in the State ofJammu & Kashmir in coming Assembly elections as is evident from the factthat the party has secured more votes than all others parties combined togetherin the Parliament elections in the State,” Raina told Greater Kashmir.

He said that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have voted for BJP,which holds the credit of only political party in J&K that has its footingin every region of the State. “BJP has performed exceptionally well, sweepingall the three seats of Jammu & Ladakh while securing good percentage ofvotes in Kashmir,” said the State president claiming that with this bumpersupport to the party, BJP is going to win more than 50 seats in next Assemblyelections and form next Government in the State.

He said that Omar Abdullah vindicated BJP’s stand. “We arehopeful to get good number of seats from Kashmir,” he said. “Omar sahib isworried as BJP is the only party that has given justice and development topeople of Kashmir.”

Raina dismissed allegations that the BJP did not favourassembly polls in the state.”There is no truth in the rumours being spreadthat the BJP is not in favour of early assembly polls in the state,” hesaid. “We are ready for polls anytime.”

BJP General Secretary (Organization), Ashok Kaul, said thatonly BJP can give stable government to the state. He said that membership driveis going on with full fervour. “More and more people are joining us,” Kaul saidand added that other party activities in valley are going on.
